Fly Away, To Happiness

Psalms 55:6-7 6  Oh, that I had wings like a dove; then I would fly away and rest! 7  I would fly far away to the quiet of the wilderness.

How many times have we said this in our lifetime? We just want to go away and escape all our troubles. Well by the grace of God we can! We can get away from this life every time we spend time with the Lord. When we pray, when we read the Word, when we just sit at the feet of Jesus. We give God all our worries and our troubles and we fly away with Him. How awesome is that, that we have that open door, all day every day, where we can forget about our problems and live in freedom.Well guess what, we can live that way everyday, by the blood of Jesus. He died so that we don't have to worry about everything, but instead pray about everything and enjoy the freedom that He so graciously paid for on the cross. All we have to do is accept the gift He has given us, then we can go to him and fly away to victory any time. Jesus gave us victory over the devil, sin, sickness, and failure, so that we can live in freedom. We will still have our problems, but when you give them to God and pray about it, they turn into God's glory and our victory. So any time you want to just get away from this world and forget about all your problems, just turn your eyes towards Jesus and pray, He will take your worries and your pain, and give you peace and happiness.

Suffering brings God Glory

Suffering brings God's glory

2 Corinthians 4: 10, 17-18   10 Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies.
17 For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! 18  So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

God says He will never put more on us than we can handle, and that is always true. We all pray for strength, wisdom, patience, peace, etc..., and God gives us what we pray for. The only hard part to comprehend is that He doesn't just give us what we ask for on a silver platter. Through our suffering He makes us stronger, when we pray for strength He doesn't just give us strength He puts us through situations that will make us stronger. He knows what we can handle, and He will put us through exactly what we need, to become stronger. The same goes for everything else we pray for. I have just recently learned this and have finally gotten revelation about it, and I am so glad to know this now because I used to think that I was letting the devil over power my spirit, but in reality it was God just doing the work in me to make me stronger, more patient, and giving me more knowledge. Even when we are following God's path for us and operating under His will, it will not be easy.
God never had plans for us to have sickness or to get hurt, all that comes from the devil. But God does use those sick times and the times of hurt to bring Himself the glory. Jesus died for all people, so they would not have to pay for their sin, or suffer, but we have free will that gives us the choice to follow Him or not to follow Him, that choice is what brings the suffering. We suffer because of the devil, but when we turn back to God he brings us back to His magnificent glory. Jesus healed the sick in order to show people of God's glory, and still today that same healing is occurring so that God can be glorified. We will never suffer more than Jesus did that day on the cross, and our suffering will never outweigh the glory we will give God when we come out on top and Honor Him for taking us through it, and tell everyone what God has done for us. That is why He let's us go through our hard times, and rescues us just when the time is right, so that we can recognize He has done a great work in our lives and we will give Him all the glory. What we go through now is nothing compared to the glory we will receive when we get to Heaven.

My father in heaven, I give you all the glory and honor for EVERYTHING you have done in my life.

God does not bring destruction.

Job 13: 23-24   Tell me, what have I done wrong?
Show me my rebellion and my sin. 24  Why do you turn away from me?
Why do you treat me as your enemy?

Job is wise enough to know that if God is not protecting him then he has sinned against God. Therefore He wants to know what sin he has committed that could bring this on. But what He doesn't understand is that God is not the one that is destroying him, but it is actually the devil who is attacking him.
This same thing happens far too often today in our society. Far too many times we only look to God when times are tough, when we should be looking to him all the time, and building a strong relationship. If we spend more time sitting at the feet of Jesus, then our relationship will be stronger.
Imagine if you had a really good friend that you didn't go a day without at least talking on the phone, more than likely that friend would be there for you whenever you need them. But what if you had a friend that you only saw once a week? If you called that friend up and asked for a favor, they probably would not jump right up and come help you. They might eventually come, but not as quick as you want them to.
This same thing happens with God. If you don't spend time with Him, He won't spend time with you. I'm not saying He will abandon you, I'm just saying He won't come running the minute you call on Him. God loves us no matter what we do, but sometimes He makes us wait for His miraculous healing, so that we can come to realize that we have made a mistake and sinned against Him.
Also, He does not come to our rescue if we do not call Him. We must have communication with God in order for Him to help us.
So when you are suffering or hurting, and you can't figure out why God is letting this happen, look in the mirror and examine yourself, you may be the chain that is holding back all of God's greatness on your life.
